Katmai national park

Katmai National Park is located on the Alaska Peninsula about 290 miles southwest from Anchorage. The National Park includes all islands that are 5 miles remote from the coast. The entire area boasts of the largest population of protected Grizzly bears throughout the world. For this reason, a large number of tourists go into the Brooks Camp to watch and take pictures of these magnificent predators every year at the turn of June and July or August and September.
