Fairbanks

Fairbanks just disappointed me. I knew it as romantic “Golden Rush City”. I dreamed about a small city with historical buildings, cozy souvenir shops and saloons. Unfortunately, Fairbanks does not look like this way. It is an unofficial main city of Alaska. The population is about 30.000. It is a quite large number in this area. Fairbanks was built along the Chena and Tanana River. The city prospered in a gold rush era, also began to grow and developed. There are big shopping centers and many cultural institutions. The University of Alaska Fairbanks also situated here.
